and I had a dream. To buy ourselves a camper and hit the
open road. We looked around but nothing we could afford
suited our needs. And then, we came across one of Marco's
Westies. He lived just minutes away, so we called him
immediately and he invited us over for a test drive. And,
believe me, once you've driven one of these things, there's
no turning back. And once you've met Marco, you'll know
you're dealing with not just a mechanic, but an artist.
Besides being one of the warmest and most trustworthy
people you will probably ever meet, Marco knows everything
there is to know about these campers.
When he started building our camper, he kept us involved
in the process every step of the way, happily adding whatever extras
we asked for.
In the end, we got our totally tricked-out '84 Maxi-Westy
in about a month,
and as soon as we stepped into it, we were in love.
We named her "Madge" and took her cross-country,
from LA to Boston, got married, then drove her back
to LA for our honeymoon and the ride could not have
been better!
